MTMAD Thinking / India Market
Entering India? Localise the story, not just the subtitles.
Global launch films rarely travel intact. What changes isn't the language — it's who the hero is.

International brands often arrive in India with a finished global campaign and a request to 'adapt' it. Dubbing and subtitles are the easy part. The harder question is whether the story still makes sense to the person you need to convince here.
India is many markets at once
A product can be sold to a procurement head in Pune, a dealer in Coimbatore and a family in Lucknow in the same quarter. Each has a different reason to care. A single film rarely serves all three; a single idea, carefully versioned, can.
You know your product. We know how to tell its story here.
The dealer is an audience too
For many categories, the first people who must believe in the brand are distributors and dealers. Their films, meetings and exhibition material are not secondary content — they are often where a launch is won or lost.
Produce here, for here
Shooting locally is not only about cost. Faces, places, light and language that feel familiar earn trust faster than polished footage from somewhere else. Keep the global brand system; let the stories belong to the market.
